The Board

According to Association Statute paragraphs 20 – 23, the IAGt Board comprises 5 persons:

Prof.Pavol Rybar, Slovakia, President of the Board
Prof.Tadeusz Slomka, Poland, Vice president of the Board
Dr. Wojciech Mayer, Poland, Secretary of the Board
Prof.Jan Golonka, Poland, Treasurer of the Board
Dr. Savvas Adamides, Cyprus, Member of the Board

• the Board’s term of Office shall be 4 years;
• the meetings of the Board shall be convened as the arises, however at least twice a year;
• the minutes of the Board meetings shall be published on the IAGt website after each meeting.

The Association`s Bureau

According to the IAGt Statutes, the Board can establish the Associations’ Bureau and appoint the Head - local commissary thereof.

Local commissary will recommend first twenty IAGt members from his territory. After their confirmation by the Board, local commissary constitutes national Associations’ Bureau and this would start its activities.

The National Associations’ Bureau is helpful in IAGt member recruitment. Associations’ Bureau recommends every new potential IAGt member from appropriate country to the Board. Local commissary brings into effect intents of the Board managing territory. Local commissary inform the Board about planned geotouristic activities (courses, symposiums, proposals on new forms of geotouristic activities, interesting journals and articles, etc.) and interests of the country to organize national, or any other activity under the auspices of the IAGt.

The official Association`s language is English.

General Meeting

According to paragraphs 18 and 19 of the IAGt Statutes, ordinary General Meeting shall once a year convene the Board meeting for reporting purposes and every four years – for reporting and elections.
The extraordinary General Meeting should be convened by the Board – at the Board’s initiative, upon the request of the Audit Commission, or upon written motion submitted by at least 1/3 of all ordinary members of the Association.
